Inca

Inca is a small city located in the center of the island of Mallorca, Spain. Known for its leather industry and shoe production, Inca is a popular destination for those interested in shopping for high-quality leather goods.

The city has a rich history dating back to the Roman era, with several archaeological sites to explore, including the remains of a Roman bridge and an ancient aqueduct. The Sant Bartomeu Church, a Gothic-style church built in the 18th century, is also a must-see attraction in Inca.

Aside from its historical landmarks, Inca is also home to many cultural events throughout the year. One of the most popular is the Dijous Bo festival, held every November. This event is known for its lively street markets, exhibitions, concerts, and traditional dancing. Another noteworthy event is the Fira de l’Ametlla i la Mel (Almond and Honey Fair), held in February, which showcases the best local products made from almonds and honey.

For nature lovers, Inca has plenty of options to explore. The nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountain range offers excellent hiking and mountain biking trails, and the Albufera Natural Park is a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Inca is also a great base for exploring other parts of Mallorca, such as the nearby towns of Sineu, Llucmajor, and Palma, the island’s capital city. Whether you are interested in history, culture, nature, or just shopping for quality leather goods, Inca has something to offer everyone.
